WP8: Spacecraft and Satellite Ephemerides (Research and technological development)

Objectives

WP 8 on Spacecraft and satellites ephemerides aims at providing dynamical models of SAT and orbits of SPC by exploiting of the astrometric data issued from the other WPs. Ephemerides are issued from these models.

Description of work

Task 8.1: Arc splitting method

Carried out by IMCCE and ROB. It consists in determining the best way to split radioscience observations in such a way that the SPC ephemeris will be optimize at the time of camera astrometric measurements.

Task 8.2: Merging data method

Carried out by IMCCE and ROB and JIVE, it consists in inversing in one whole procedure the informations coming from astrometry, VLBI and radioscience data. In practice, this will be done at the level of the normal matrix inversion.

Task 8.3: Modelling Mars SPC orbits

Results from this Task (e.g. for Mars Express, Galileo) will be used to update the control point networks and reference models for satellites (WP6). Carried out by ROB

Task 8.4: Modelling Phobos/Deimos orbits

Results from this Task will be used to update the control point networks and reference models for the Martian satellites (WP6). Carried out by ROB

Task 8.5: Mars global inversion

Carried out by IMCCE and ROB

Task 8.6: Modelling Galileo orbit

Carried out by ROB

Task 8.7: Modelling Jovian satellite orbits

Results from this Task will be used to update the control point networks and reference models for the Jovian satellites (WP6). Carried out by ROB

Task 8.8: Jupiter global inversion

Carried out by IMCCE and ROB

Task 8.9: Modelling Voyager 2 orbit

Carried out by ROB

Task 8.10: Modelling. Uranian sat.

Carried out by IMCCE

Task 8.11: Uranus global inversion

Carried out by IMCCE and ROB
